Digital learning requires new evaluation strategies that differ a great deal from the traditional evaluation criteria used to check written or even oral work. Digital learning is more varied and expansive than pen and paper learning. It encompasses within it research skills, social skills, work ethics (related to respecting intellectual property rights) and last but not least authenticity. An authentic assessment of Digital Learning will have to take more skills into consideration.

Technology in schools can be distracting unless of course, you have a strong system and a structure within which it can be used. Proper planning is required to make the use of technology successful in school. You need to have a plan B and a plan C to cater to unexpected glitches. Not having a proper plan in place can lead to chaos.

Teaching is changing and it is changing fast! The challenges that a teacher faces today is a smarter and better-informed learner thanks to the internet. Moreover, the role of the teacher has also changed from that of someone who delivers content to one who balances between mentorship, instruction, examinership, counselling, catalyst, analyst, coordinator, planner, and so on!
