When the leader sees themself as the center of the universe and cannot comprehend the organization surviving without their constant intervention, micromanagement is likely to follow. I like to point out that while culture runs deep and is resistant to change, organizational climate is more surface-level and can change relatively quickly. When leaders set out to change the culture, they are frequently impacting the organizational climate. They are related, but operated on much different timelines.

U.S. appeals judge Pauline Newman has committed "serious misconduct" by refusing to cooperate with a mental fitness probe and should be suspended from hearing new cases for one year or until she submits to a court-ordered examination, an investigative panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit said in a report released on Friday.
