Years ago Common Craft made a fun little guide to understanding the World Cup. The guide featured a bunch of animated GIFs. It was a great example of using silent animations to explain a topic. In the years since then I've encouraged teachers to think about having students make animated GIFs to illustrate and explain concepts.

Desjardins' latest "You Suck At Powerpoint" will definitely reach high school audiences--except the part about paying for professional layouts.  His points are emphatic, visually appealing, and memorable--something that he is urging everyone to strive for in their PPt presentations.  I highly recommend this slideshow.

Video Puppet is a new service that launched in late March. It turns your PowerPoint slides into narrated videos. If you're a Google Slides user you can download your slides as a PowerPoint file to then use in Video Puppet.
