Drive People to Act on Your Content

Drive People to Act on Your Content | Business Improvement and Social media | Scoop.it
As a content marketer, you must understand what drives people to act on whatever type of content they come across for you to become successful.

Via janlgordon
janlgordon's curator insight, November 14, 2016 11:42 PM

I selected this article from Curatti written by Ron Sela because it explains creative ways your business can publish content that stands out.

Understand what drives people to act on whatever type of content they read from your business.

Write Blog Posts That Stand Out And From the Rest

Presenting an idea with audience intent will determine its effectiveness. I agree that in order to get noticed you need to understand what your buyers want.

Sela shows us that we need to find the right keywords that line up with what your audience is looking for online. Find a way to craft your content with the reader in mind.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Consider keyword metrics like search volume and conversion rates. Ask yourself things like; how many people use the keyword ”HP laptop discounts” and buy HP laptops?

  • The main goal of great content is to grab the reader's attention. Understanding their needs is essential, but you must also dig deeper and find our more about buyer behavior.

  • It's important to publish with the right publications to reach your target audience immediately. This requires that you create high-quality content that will be noticed by influencers.

#Blogging Secrets of a Killer Blog Post: Images [#infographic] | Business Improvement and Social media | Scoop.it

You already know that well-researched, high-quality content is the backbone of a killer blog post. But don’t underestimate the importance of a strong visual component when you’re composing your latest and greatest update for your audience

The human brain processes images in as little as 13 milliseconds—less than the blink of an eye.

A post with an image is far more enticing to the bounce-happy readers of the Internet than one without, and is more likely to be shared on social media as well.

Content Marketing 101

Content Marketing 101 | Business Improvement and Social media | Scoop.it
Without solid content marketing, your best efforts to define yourselves online on the various social media platforms, would be lost

Via janlgordon
janlgordon's curator insight, November 12, 2016 1:02 AM

I selected this article from Curatti written by Bryan Kramer because it provides insights on how to to create a solid content marketing plan.

In order for your brand to be noticed it takes both quality and the right strategy from your blog.

Improve Your Content Marketing

Your message should engage and educate your audience. I agree that you can reach more people by understanding the right methods for producing content.

Kramer explains the basics of content marketing and how to clear up any confusion in order to be more effective.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Choose the right audience to focus on such as millennials or older adults. This will help you craft an article that speaks to their needs and desires.

  • Discover the best way to share your content through an ROI standpoint. Combine traditional marketing methods with digital techniques.

  • Take the time to map out the desired outcome of your marketing efforts. Determine the personas of each individual within the buying process.

Is Your Blog Reader Focused?

Is Your Blog Reader Focused? | Business Improvement and Social media | Scoop.it
Successful blogs are reader focused. It's worth taking the trouble to adapt your blog to make it better experience for your readers to keep their loyalty

Via janlgordon
janlgordon's curator insight, August 26, 2016 12:21 AM

I selected this article from Curatti written by Alice Elliott because it shows how to write articles from the readers' point of view.

Create content that your audience wants to read.

Improve Your Subscriber Rate With the Target Market in Mind

A blog post that is focused more on the writer will not get much attention. I agree that knowing who your readers are and crafting a message just for them can go a long way.

Elliot shows how your business can change your content strategy that appeals to the needs and desires of your community.

Here's what caught my attention:

  • Successful blog posts provide a solution to what the readers want. This takes sufficient research and a unique style of writing that is in your own voice.

  • Ask whether your niche is both popular and clear to your community. Offer something special that goes beyond what other blogs are publishing.

  • Improve the readability of your blog with a good design and layout that is not confusing. Make it easy to read and appealing to your readers.

How to Setup a Wordpress Blog in 5 Minutes

How to Setup a Wordpress Blog in 5 Minutes | Business Improvement and Social media | Scoop.it

I started my blog using WordPress and I have found it a platform that makes it easy to own and publish your own content online.

It is the foundation to the success of this blog which currently receives over 300,000 hits per month.

If you’re looking for an easy way to create a web presence and start sharing your ideas online, the best way to do this is to create a blog. Millions of users around the world already express themselves and share their thoughts by means of their personal blogs.

The advantage of having your own WordPress blog that is self-hosted is that you own it.

It is good to have a Facebook “page” or a Tumblr blog but they are owned by someone else and you can have a web presence there but under their “Terms and Conditions” It is basically a rental.
